Sat, 1 September 2007 At 10:30 a.m. Mountain time, Senator Larry Craig of Idaho is scheduled to formally resign from Congress, after the revelation of his June arrest for lewd conduct in a public restroom in Minneapolis and guilty plea to a lesser charge on August 1. The resignation comes after nearly a week's worth of drum-beating led by Craig's own party. Former Congressman Larry LaRocco, a former aide to the legendary Frank Church, served two terms as the representative from Idaho's First District. As the Democratic candidate for Craig's Senate seat, he's literally working his way across his home state in jobs ranging from hauling garbage in Orofino to making cheese in Twin Falls. We caught up with LaRocco at YearlyKos 2007, weeks before the Craig scandal broke. Direct download: ePluribus_Media_Podcast__Sept._1_2007.m4a Category: podcasts -- posted at: 12:43 AM |
